Tourism Organization East Sarajevo
The Tourism Organization East Sarajevo, Olympic Center Jahorina and The Hotel Managers Association Jahorina feature at the Expo-Zim 2016 at their own booth under the title Tourism Center Jahorina.
Its basic objective is promotion of winter tourism offer for the season 2016/2017. The offer includes about 25 km of the lanes for skiers, boarders and other winter sports, high quality vertical transport (three six- seater and two two-seater chairlifts, three ski lifts for the adults and several baby-lifts, with the capacity of 11,000 skiers per one hour), outstanding accommodation in about twenty luxurious and medium class hotels (from three to five stars, with the capacity of about 2,000 beds) and more than 2,500 beds in the rest houses, apartments and rented rooms. All this provides to Jahorina the position of a respectable winter tourism resort.
If you add to this also the hosts’ hospitality, the Olympic ‘heritage’, outstanding offer of the home made healthy cuisine, drinks and beverages, with very fair prices, then there is something to see at Expo-Zim, as well.
Particularly interesting is the fairly new ski resort The Flat Mountain – Upper Pale, at the northern slope of Jahorina. 1,200 m long lane with the ski lift having the capacity of 800 skiers per one hour and outstanding artificial snowing, ski resort and playroom for the youngest children, as well as the car parking with more than 500 passenger cars, it is increasingly interesting for the real winter sport fans. The works on the installation of Jahorinaexpres gondola first stage (the section from the starting station (flat plain) – Flat Mountain – about 2 km) are in progress, which makes this ski resort more attractive.
