Belgrade Fair employees have been proving their devotion to their jobs for eight decades by successful organizing of many events, but on festive and less formal occasions they certainly can be funny and creative. Look how the employees celebrate Belgrade Fair’s 80th Birthday with laughter and joy, releasing 80 blue and white balloons.

Belgrade Fair history with the incredible development from the beginning as example in the exhibition industry of Europe at that time was most tragically marked during the Second World War, when an execution field was formed at the fair ground.

Beside the anniversary celebration and various events following the establishing and development of Belgrade Fair, it is time also for a real birthday text. Of course, we remember and respect history, but we go forward, since it is the only thing in accordance with such a great, successful international institution.

In a few days, more precisely – on September 11, Belgrade Fair celebrates 80 years since its establishing. On the occasion of this important Anniversary, the Fair issued the personalized mail stamp in the limited series.

There are just a few days until beginning of September, the month in which the autumn fair season begins. Everything is ready at Belgrade Fair for the local and global exhibitors, new business meetings and many visitors who know the Fair has been the “Business Venue” for 80 years.

On this date as long ago as in 1957 – on August 23 six decades ago, the The First Postwar Technical Fair was opened in Belgrade. The focus on Postwar is significant for the statistics staff and those following Anniversaries, since the actually first edition of this outstanding event, as it will be shown having global dimensions, happened two decades

The open competition Belgrade International F1N Trophy was held on July 7 to 9 at Belgrade Fair. Under cooperation with AC Belgrade, the competition organizer was AC Modelar. The competition is also in the FAI calendar and it was held this year for the first time in two halls – 1 and 4.

In addition to being the Business Meeting Point and the Place Seen by the Whole World, Belgrade Fair became again also the right place where Faculties organize enrollment examinations. In the last week of June, the future students had at the Hall 2 the enrollment examinations for the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Mathematics at the University

Within the June 7 – Global Exhibitions Day celebration, established internationally last year, Belgrade Fair business in the last year was presented, but also the Fair business influence to the economics of Belgrade and Serbia. The figures are very illustrative and show very clearly the importance of the exhibition industry also outside this institution.

The Global Exhibitions Day – June 7, was festively celebrated at Belgrade Fair. Attended by many guests, business partners and the Fair employees, the film about Belgrade Fair as The Place Seen by the Whole World was shown. Ms. Danka Selić, CEO, spoke about Belgrade Fair results and achievements.

In the year of the Anniversary celebration with global strength – 80 Years of Existence – Belgrade Fair celebrates actively also the Global Exhibitions Day, on June 7, 2017.
