The International Graphic, Paper and Creative Industry Fair “Grafima” started on Monday, October 9th, in Hall 4 of the Belgrade Fair.
The fair was officially opened by Frank Van Deursen, the general manager of Cron-Europe being the host of this fair event. In his welcoming speech, he praised the successful cooperation with the local company Prepress.
Cron-Europe is present with its machines in the largest printing companies. CRON-Europe is a subsidiary of the global company Hangzhou CRON Machinery & Electronics Co. Ltd, founded in 1992 as a high-tech enterprise dedicated to research and production of prepress equipment. Over the last 20 years and more, the company has established itself as a leading manufacturer of CTP technology worldwide, with an extensive product portfolio covering the entire spectrum of digital print preparation, including UV, thermal, and CTP large-format.
Miša Čugurović, President of Grafima Organizing Committee and President of the Graphics Industry Group within the Association of Creative Industry of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, pointed out the fact that there are more and more machines at Grafima, which means that companies in this industry have work and motivation to operate. He also stated that the presented machinery is representative and keeps pace with global technological advancements. Čugurović emphasized that the good thing is that paper prices in Europe have stabilized at levels from before the Ukrainian crisis.
Grafima is the oldest and largest regional trade fair dedicated to promoting technological advancements in the graphic industry, publishing, printed media, design, advertising industry, paper production, processing, and various other segments of these industries. It integrates machine industry, information and communication technologies, creative and artistic graphic genres and skills, application-specific IC and designer hardware and software into a professional, educational, and high-profile international visual trade challenge.
This year, more than 70 exhibitors from various profiles from around ten countries are presenting their products. The offerings include a wide selection of machines, devices, and equipment for the graphic industry, spare parts and components, used graphic machines, control and measuring devices and equipment, machines and equipment for recycling waste materials, raw materials and consumables, as well as final products of the graphic, creative, and paper industries.
The professional and accompanying program includes workshops, lectures, and panel discussions with a focus on printing technology, graphic design, and advertising materials.
The highest quality graphic products in various categories, or product groups, await symbolic awards – the Gold, Silver and Bronze Seals.
At the same time, and in the same Hall 4, two more fair events will take place: the International Information and Office Equipment Fair BIRO-EXPO, and the Packing and Packaging Fair PAK-AM.
The working hours for the GRAFIMA, BIRO-EXPO, and PAK-AM fairs are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on October 9th and 10th, and from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on October 11th.
The entrance fee is 450 dinars, and parking for cars within the fairground is 150 dinars per hour.
