The leading trade fair event in the construction industry in the Southeast Europe Region, with more than 550 exhibitors from 30 countries – the 43rd International Building Trade Fair has been festively opened at Belgrade Fair. Under the slogan “The Golden Branch of Serbian Economy” and under the auspices of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia, the Building Trade Fair lasts till Sunday, April 23. General Sponsor of the event is Bulgarian Profilink company and the event Proud Companion is Supporta Interior Doors.

With congratulations for 80 years of Belgrade Fair successful business, the relevant Minister, Zorana Mihajlović declared festively the Building Trade Fair opened. She reminded she wished all companies more jobs and cooperation, as well as the improved business conditions :

– The existence of good business conditions is very important for the construction industry, but these are not only construction permits and similar facilitations, but also clear economic policy. Owing to it, we have new companies and new investments. Three years ago the construction industry share in Serbian economy was 4.5 percent, it is five now and we strive after its becoming seven percent. We can accomplish this objective only together, by the exchange of experiences, cooperation, new technologies introduction. To let the construction industry be The Golden Branch of Serbian Economy, as this year’s motto reads, we have to connect, the whole region has to work together, said Zorana Mihajlović.

Danka Selić, Belgrade Fair CEO, also welcomed all exhibitors, guests and visitors and also reminded this was the anniversary year – 80 years since establishing, which is honor, but also obligation.

– Belgrade Fair will keep on trying to respond to the market challenges, to keep its reputation and enhance business. We are proud that we kept the leading position in the region, that the Fair gathers many exhibitors, professional publics, but also the general audience. Great support in this event organization was provided by Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and in the next five days, the Fair will be the place of the promotion of potentials and perspective of the construction industry, said Danka Selić.

Ivan Ivanov

Ivan Ivanov, Sales General Manager of Bulgarian Profilink company, the Event General Sponsor, also spoke at the festive opening. Beside expressing his pleasure due to the successful cooperation with Belgrade Fair, he reminded Profilink has the leading position in the construction industry and wished all participants an efficient fair attendance.
