As of today, the 57th International Fair of Furniture, Equipment and Interior Decoration, the most significant regional and European event in the field of furniture design, manufacture and distribution in Southeast Europe has opened its gates to both visitors and professionals alike. The fair is taking place in Halls 1, 1A, 2, 3, 3A and 4 of Belgrade Fair and will last by Sunday, 10 November 2019. In parallel, Hall 5 is hosting the 57th International Fair of Woodworking MachineryTools & Production Materials, which will last a day less, until Saturday, 9 November 2019.

More than 500 exhibitors from across 38 countries are taking part in the fair, including: Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Austria, Sweden, Turkey, Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Northern Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovenia…

The annual review of developments in the creative furniture and wood industries remains consistent with the concept of creating a recognizable visual and market identity for both Serbia and the region. By gathering reputable companies from this part of Europe and the world, the fair is laying a special stress on new ideas, debuts, cutting-edge design, innovative technologies, top quality and functional furniture of all shapes and sizes, as well as younger generation designers from across the region who represent a new creative and driving force.

Over the course of these six days, the fair will be a business event that will become the most important meeting point for those engaged in the furniture industry, as well as for those interested in it.

The international character of the event is reflected in the gathering of a significant number of exhibitors, business visitors, customers, architects, designers and distributors from the region and Europe, as well as in the growing interest of companies that wish to participate in the fair.

Absolute novelties at Furniture Fair

This year, the fair will feature the new international and regional exhibitors profiled in artisan craftsmanship with a strong commitment to detail and quality.

Two prestigious Italian brands – Colombini Casa and Cappellini – are participating in the fair for the first time ever, as well as Danish Muuto, Croatian Nunc and Hespo, North Macedonian Fagus and Serbian companies such as Lesnina S, Emmezeta and many others.

Among the novelties at this year’s fair are furniture collections that simply cannot go unnoticed as they represent the pinnacle in terms of aesthetics and quality: a blend of state-of-the-art technology and wood, visually sophisticated but also functional furniture, timeless forms, furniture that integrates superior light effects, reinterpreted traditional pieces with fresh and simple aesthetics, quality minimalist design, sophisticated accessories…

Stars of local and regional design scene

Visitors will again be able to see the products of companies whose quality represents the highest standard when it comes to designed furniture: Prostoria from Croatia, then Swiss WOAK and domestic Gir. With their return, these companies confirm the quality of the event and the fact that Belgrade Furniture Fair is a regional hub when it comes to furniture promotion.

Young Designers Exhibition – Rising Stars, Hall 2C

During the fair, the visitors will have the opportunity to observe the most up-to-date solutions in the field of furniture design and learn how still unknown designers think about design. Enthusiastic and young people will be presenting their pieces in Hall 2C. This is a special fair event as it promotes new authors and plays an important role in connecting all actors involved in product creation, the entire industry and the market.

Design Talks – Discussions with Eminent Speakers, Hall 2C

Talks with designers and architects are becoming more and more popular at the fair, and as such it brings together top experts in the field of design, architecture and furniture industry. Every day during the fair, visitors can join in conversations and hear about the experiences of leading experts, manufacturers, consultants and all other actors involved in creating quality products, both on domestic and global market.

Design talks will include members of the jury, young designers from Young Designers Exhibition, representatives of Gir, Nunc, Hard Stuff, Growth, Animo, Lilipop, Sustainable Space, Nova Iskra, Abovus Architects…

The interview is moderated by Ms. Vesna Pejovic, a well-known product designer from Belgrade.

The highlight of this year’s event, for both the exhibitors and the event itself will be presentation of the Golden Key and Fair Key awards for top quality and innovative solutions.

Hosted Buyer program and B2B Business Portal

The importance of the event for both domestic and regional economy is reflected in the affirmation of domestic manufacturers in the wood industry, as well as in the opportunity to present their products to a large number of buyers in the region, Europe and the world.

Hosted Buyer Program is expected to be visited by several thousand large professional buyers, influential in the furniture industry, who are in the position to merge markets and create demand on the global market.

For the most effective promotion of companies and more effective business arrangements during the fair, all participants will be provided with a B2B business portal created to register both exhibitors and business visitors of the International Furniture Fair and International Fair of Woodworking Machinery, Tools & Production Materials 2019.

Business Lounge in the Gallery of Hall 1 is envisaged for business meetings, whilst Meeting Point in Hall 2B.

Around 85,000 visitors are expected to visit the event over the six fair days, which confirms the quality of the event, thus proving that Belgrade Furniture Fair is seen as the regional hub of furniture promotion.
