Like every year, it is time to underline the just closed International Book Fair, which carried the sign – 62 this October.
In eight days, the Fair halls were visited by 187.5 thousand visitors and among 519 direct exhibitors, 116 arrived from abroad and 403 exhibitors “defended the colors” of Serbia. Along with co-exhibitors and represented companies, 1033 participants presented their production at more than 30 thousand square meters. The Fair and exhibitors organized together 525 programs and ten exhibitions and 19 programs were featured at the 3rd Youth Creation Festival.
The participants from 21 countries, four of them being the Guest of Honor – German Speaking Countries certainly confirmed this was an international event of great importance in the whole region, but also in the world.
The Publisher of the Year, Publishing Project of the Year, the Best Book for Children, The Best Publisher from Diaspora were declared at the Fair. Special awards were granted to the scientific contribution and to the publishers for The Most Beautiful Book and Comics, for The Most Beautiful Books for Children, as well as to the Young Book Designer.
The Book Fair was followed by about 1,200 accredited journalists, reporters and photo reporters of electronic, printed and online media from Serbia and another 17 countries.
