Dimitri S. Kerkentes, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), accompanied by Dušan Borovčanin, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. and associates, visited the Belgrade Fair on May 23, 2024.
On behalf of the host, Ms Danka Selić, Director of the Belgrade Fair, and Vukašin Grozdić, State Secretary at the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, guided guests through the halls where the 66th International Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements is taking place.
The guests showed particular interest in the exhibition set up of the Serbian Government and relevant ministries, and witnessed the achievements in science, technological development, and innovation within a very successful and complex system of educational, scientific research, and innovation institutions either under the auspices or with the support of the Serbian Government.
As an active participant in the EXPO 2027 project, the Belgrade Fair and the fair events contributed to the global success and significance of this specialized exhibition, which, under the motto “Play for Humanity – Sports and Music for All,” triumphed over competitors from Malaga (Spain), Bloomington (Minnesota, USA), Phuket (Thailand), and San Carlos de Bariloche (Argentina).
