The 46th International Boat, Hunting and Fishing Fair officially opened today in Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair, bringing together 80 exhibitors from seven countries, who will showcase their products and services through Monday, April 6.

The event opened with warm words from fisherman and humanitarian Renato Grbić, who shared a heartfelt message with nature lovers and everyone lucky enough to spend time by the river. In his words, “water opens a person up and enriches the soul,” before inviting visitors to experience the fair for themselves.

Among those attending was World and European kayaking champion Marko Novaković, who said how impressed he was by the exhibition, especially as it was his first time visiting the fair.

Novaković explained that he came to love kayaking almost by accident, having grown up by the river and tried the sport at his grandfather’s encouragement. “My first encounter with kayaking went badly — I capsized — and that’s when a sense of determination awoke in me to succeed in the sport,” he added.

Novaković also said that he is committed to passing on his knowledge and experience to younger generations, adding that over the years he has come to appreciate just how important patience is. “What matters is that you keep working and stay consistent, and the results always come. In the end, hard work always pays off,” Novaković said.

Also speaking at the opening was Dr. Milan Colić, an aesthetic surgeon and passionate boating enthusiast, who said he had grown up around boating and that, although there are fairs dedicated to everything from architecture to agriculture, this one stands out.

“This fair keeps improving year after year. It has now become a fair of dreams — everyone comes here with a wish: to hear something new, meet someone, or see someone they know. People exchange experiences and stories here, and this fair truly has a special charm,” Colić emphasized.

Over the coming days, the International Boat Fair will bring together leading manufacturers, exhibitors, and enthusiasts from the worlds of boating, water sports, hunting, and fishing, all gathered in Halls 1 and 4 to showcase the latest products, equipment, and innovations in the field.

Visitors will have the chance to explore the newest models of yachts, speedboats, sailboats, motorboats, as well as inboard and outboard engines, alongside a wide selection of nautical equipment. The range extends from advanced navigation systems and safety gear to specialized clothing, footwear, and accessories for water sports.

The fair also offers a strong selection of camping and outdoor equipment, together with a broad range of products for hunting and fishing.

Alongside luxury yachts and professional-grade gear, a significant part of the exhibition is dedicated to recreation, featuring inflatable boats, innovative technologies, and practical equipment for everyone who enjoys hunting or fishing as a hobby.
