The “EXPO 2027 Playground”, a multimedia space that represents the vision of the international exhibition Expo 2027 Belgrade, was opened at the Belgrade Fair.

The opening ceremony was attended by numerous representatives of state institutions, diplomatic corps, economic and cultural organizations, who had the opportunity to be the first to step into the space that brings the spirit of Expo events now – two years before the start of the exhibition itself.

The project “EXPO 2027 Playground” aims to contribute to the strengthening of international cooperation through various events, exhibitions, workshops and meetings and motivate young people, experts and investors to get involved in the vision of Belgrade as a global host in 2027.

“I couldn’t hold it, for all those who say that we are destroying the Belgrade Fair, here you can see a completely new exhibition space, so we could present our Serbia to the whole world. This space will be open to all citizens of Serbia and everyone else every day”, said First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Serbia Siniša Mali.

By pressing the buttons on the LED screen, the Minister of Finance Siniša Mali and the Director of Expo 2027 Dušan Borovčanin opened “EXPO 2027 Playground”.

In Hall 5, on about 2300 square meters, exhibition pavilions and a model of the Expo 2027 complex were set up, as an insight into what is being built in Surčin. In the center of the hall there is an exhibition that shows Serbia’s participation in Expo exhibitions throughout history.

Starting today, every day from 1 pm to 8 pm, visitors will be able to get acquainted with the Expo 2027 ambience, which will have multiple roles, from bringing the Expo 2027 project closer to the citizens of Serbia, but also as a kind of cultural and educational center, a space for the promotion and preparation of content in anticipation of this event, which will host future partners, delegations of countries that will participate and present themselves at the Expo, representatives of sports and culture, as well as all interested parties.

With more than 130 participating countries expected, a specialized exhibition Expo 2027 Belgrade themed “Play for Humanity” is planned to be held from 15th May to 15th August 2027.
