The International Wine, Food, and Brandy Fair “Wine Vision by Open Balkan,” one of Europe’s premier and most prestigious wine and gastronomic events, will be hosted at the Belgrade Fair from October 10 to 12, unfolding under the banner “One Place. The Whole World.” This year, for the fifth time at the same venue, the showcase will gather producers, distributors, professional buyers, experts, and wine enthusiasts from Serbia, the region, and numerous countries worldwide.

During the three-day event under the domes of the Belgrade Fair, 550 exhibitors from more than 30 countries will showcase their finest wines and brandies (rakija). Buyers and sellers from 45 nations have announced their attendance, with more than 2,000 B2B business meetings already scheduled.

As part of the fair, an evaluation of over 800 wines will be organized. They will be judged by 26 experts from 18 countries, including six holders of the prestigious Master of Wine title, with a core focus on the quality and authenticity of the wines and grape varieties. Balkan brandies will be evaluated by international distillate experts from the Spirits Selection by CMB competition, while a masterclass led by Dr. Ivan Urošević will explore the development of Serbian rakija—from its roots as a national heritage to a product with growing international potential. The professional program features 17 wine and brandy masterclasses led by 22 lecturers from 14 countries.

A special segment this year remains the Food Vision event, dedicated to regional gastronomy and hospitality. Visitors will have the opportunity to follow culinary competitions, food and wine pairings, masterclasses, and other activities. The program also includes a panel discussion organized by HORES (the Business Association of Hotel and Restaurant Industry of Serbia), focusing on current topics in hospitality and catering. Enhancing the unique ambiance is the Gastro Theatre, a captivating sensory experience, where restaurants and hotels will prepare dishes live in front of the audience, seamlessly blending culinary skill and storytelling about ingredients, and dining pleasure.

The “Wine Vision by Open Balkan” exhibition has grown into a major international platform for connecting producers and buyers, promoting wine culture and gastronomy, and presenting the traditional products of Serbia and the region to the global market.
