The Young Welder 2018 is the Republic Competition of Mechanical High Schools in Serbia and young welders from the economy, which will be held for the first time within the Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements, on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Hall 2C.
The Competition has been organized in two categories and four welding procedures (111 – REL, 135 – MAG, 141 – TIG and Gas – depending upon the number of the applied participants). The first category consists of the students of mechanical high schools of Serbia, competing in the theoretical and practical sections, while the other category, young welders, at the age up to 22, compete only in the practical section. Both categories carry out the same practical task.
The Competition starts already in early morning hours and lasts until late afternoon. It was planned that the competitors’ application and registration are carried out from 8:15 to 8:30, the Competition Opening follows at 8:30 to 8:45, then from 9:00 to 10:00 the knowledge test, from 10:30 to 15:00 practical work, from 15:00 to 18:00 is the sample estimation and the winners will be declared at 18:30.
It is interesting, at the Competition venue the visitors and any other parties interested in trying this serious, demanding and demanded skill will have at their disposal the welding simulator provided by Proficut company, anyway exhibited at the Proficut stand at the Hall 1A.
