The 55th Education and Teaching Tools Fair has opened at the Belgrade Fair, a premier collaborative forum where academic institutions, publishers, and thought leaders converge to champion learning as the ultimate catalyst for societal growth.<\/p>\n

Under the slogan “Educated Serbia, Successful Serbia” and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia, the fair is being held this year from October 27 to October 31, 2026, in Hall 2C, traditionally taking place alongside the 69th International Belgrade Book Fair.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The grand opening ceremony began with a monologue by Uncle Ljuba Nenadovi\u0107, performed by actor Milan Bosilj\u010di\u0107. The fair was officially opened by Vesna Nedeljkovi\u0107, State Secretary in the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia.<\/p>\n

In her address, she highlighted the importance of knowledge and learning, noting that we inherently need books to remind us of our origins, anchoring our past achievements while guiding us toward the boundless horizons we can still reach. She sent a message to the children:<\/p>\n

“Dear children, read, read, read… Whether it is learning and reading through modern technologies or through books, keep room in your hearts for genuine books; navigating digital screens is wonderful, but nothing quite matches the raw, immersive feeling of holding a story in your hands. For knowledge is the only thing that no one can ever take away from you.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Upon opening the fair, the State Secretary invited everyone to visit and see how the youngest participants prepared to showcase everything they can do, everything they know, and everything they are yet to learn.<\/p>\n

This year, the Education and Teaching Tools Fair will once again serve as a meeting place for knowledge, experience, and new ideas, while also providing a space to present solutions and approaches that make the educational process more modern, accessible, and tailored to the needs of new generations.<\/p>\n

As rapid technological shifts and evolving global industries redefine the workplace, modern education must extend far beyond classroom walls to cultivate lifelong adaptability.<\/p>\n

Precisely for this reason, the Education and Teaching Tools Fair provides a platform to discuss how we learn, what we learn, and what knowledge and skills are needed for the generations to come. Special attention is dedicated to nurturing talent, career guidance, competency development, inclusion, lifelong learning, and bridging the gap between education and the workforce.<\/p>\n

The goal is to connect different branches of the educational system in a single place, enabling the exchange of experiences, best practice examples, and modern solutions that can contribute to its ongoing improvement.<\/p>\n<\/div>

From the Classroom to New Technologies<\/h4>\n

The exhibition and program content of the 55th Education and Teaching Tools Fair will span various levels and forms of education\u2014ranging from preschool, primary, and secondary education, to higher education, professional development, and lifelong learning.<\/p>\n

Throughout the Fair, educational institutions present their programs, educational profiles, enrollment requirements, and opportunities for further advancement. Through presentations, discussions with institution representatives, and interactive features, students, parents, and all interested visitors can learn about different educational pathways, specific teaching methodologies, and the unique knowledge and skills provided by individual programs. In this way, the Education Fair has also become a space for information gathering, career guidance, and making critical decisions regarding future education and career choices.<\/p>\n

The exhibition program also includes textbooks, professional and educational literature, modern teaching tools, equipment, digital tools, and technological solutions that enhance classroom teaching. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore various educational programs, innovative working methods, and content that encourages active learning, critical thinking development, and the acquisition of practical skills.<\/p>\n

A special place is reserved for the themes that define the future trajectory of education\u2014the digitalization of teaching, formal and informal learning, career guidance, dual and inclusive education, support for gifted students, lifelong learning, and international cooperation. Prominent topics at the fair also include the promotion of education in national minority languages, as well as protection against violence.<\/p>\n

An essential segment is linking education with economic needs, allowing young people to recognize their interests and abilities early on and more easily find their path towalrd a future profession.<\/p>\n

The fair is also an opportunity to emphasize the significance of collaboration among everyone involved in the educational process. The Fair of Education gains exceptional value from its direct link to the International Belgrade Book Fair. As the long-standing patron of the event, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia<\/strong> will present successful projects and examples of best practices in preschool, primary, and secondary education at the fair. It will also showcase education in national minority languages, along with activities in digitalization, international cooperation, student welfare and standard of living, prevention and protection against violence, and the inclusion of vulnerable groups in education.<\/p>\n

Additional content awaits visitors at the booth of the Office for Dual Education and the National Qualifications Framework, as well as at individual exhibitor booths, where their programs, projects, publications, teaching tools, and modern educational solutions will be presented through presentations, discussions, and various interactive activities.<\/p>\n

Accompanying Program<\/h4>\n

The exhibition portion of the 55th Education and Teaching Tools Fair will be accompanied by a diverse program tailored to various profiles of visitors.<\/p>\n

In the Accompanying Program Hall within Hall 2C, professional lectures, workshops, promotions, and presentations will be organized, opening up a space for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and ideas, and bringing current educational topics closer to the general public.<\/p>\n

School Day \u2013 October 29<\/h4>\n

On Thursday, October 29, the traditional School Day will be organized, designed for group visits by students, teachers, school librarians, university students, and professors.
